Dr Mohammed Khaleel

Dr. Mohammed Khaleel, an Australian-trained general surgeon, has a special focus on Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary (HPB) and Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI) surgery and Endoscopy.
Following his surgical training through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) via Western Health, he completed three distinguished fellowships. While establishing a solid foundation as a general surgeon and endoscopist at Ballarat Base Hospital, Dr. Khaleel developed a specific interest in HPB and UGI surgery. Further enhancing his skills, he spent two years in renowned institutions, initially as an HPB Fellow at The Alfred and later as an HPB & Liver Transplant Fellow at the Austin Hospital. In 2022, Dr. Khaleel earned a Master's degree in minimally invasive surgery from the University of Adelaide, underscoring his commitment to advancing surgical techniques and improving patient outcomes. He was honored with the Rural Surgery Fellowship for Provincial Surgeons Grant from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS).
Dr. Khaleel anticipates a transformative impact through innovative approaches, heralding a revolution in surgical procedures to reduce complications, surgical site infections, hospital stays, and expedite recovery. His diverse training in tertiary, regional, and rural health services, including South Australia, has expanded his clinical expertise, reinforcing his capacity to excel in various healthcare environments.
